Using this grass seed calculator is dead easy!
- Choose your lawn shape, either from a square/rectangle, a circle or a triangle
- Enter the dimensions of your lawn
- It’ll then tell you how many square meters your lawn is and how much grass seed you need. Either sowing a new lawn (35g of seed per square metre) or overseeding an existing lawn (25g of seed per square metre)
That said, if your lawn is an irregular shape, a grass seed calculator isn’t much use. In which case you’ll have to measure your lawn using this method.
Once you know how much grass seed you need, make sure you buy the best grass seed for your new lawn.
