In case you hadn’t noticed, it’s all about lawn care.
I created it to help you grow and maintain the best lawn in your neighbourhood. Without having to know everything and with even the most basic equipment.
A lawn that’ll have your neighbours asking;
‘Is that astro turf?!’
Or saying something like;
‘You should come and do mine!’
Really, that’s all my neighbours ever say to me!
But Who Am I and Why The Hell Should You Listen to Me?
My name is Daniel Hunter.
I’m not gonna lie, I’m a proper nerd with a degree in Sports Turf Science and Management. I’ve also worked on some of the best cricket grounds, football pitches and golf courses our fine country has to offer.
I don’t tell you this to brag (OK, maybe a little bit), but to hopefully try and convince you that I’m worth listening to when it comes to grass.
Because despite having worked where I have, what I like most is helping regular lawn owners, just like you, create stunning lawns at home.
There’s a certain satisfaction in turning a weedy patch of moss into a thick, luxurious carpet of grass.
Makes me want to get naked and roll around on it!
Is that weird?
Anyway…
…Now you know I’m qualified and have a weird obsession about getting naked and rolling on grass, let me explain why I think my advice can help you.
I Keep it Simple, Silly!
See, I’m a simple soul. My mum to calls me ‘special’.
Anyway, complicated isn’t my thing.
And lawn care can sometimes seem complicated, especially when you consider all the jobs that go into an annual lawn care regime…
…Scarification, aeration, feeding, weeding, top-dressing and overseeding, preventing and treating disease etc…
There’s a lot to do.
So it’s no wonder newbie lawnsmiths shit themselves (metaphorically speaking) when they see how much work is involved.
But Here’s The Big Fat Secret the ‘Professionals’ Don’t Want You Know…
Lawn care isn’t that difficult.
Sure, things can get super scientific very quickly if that’s what you want. Golf courses spend millions of pounds every year on soil science and breeding the perfect grass types for the job.
And if you want to be head groundsman at Wimbledon or Gleneagles then you’ll need to be qualified in all of these areas. This takes years of learning and to be perfectly honest is, well, boring as f!*k!
But creating a stunner of a lawn at home using the bog-standard products you can buy from Amazon or off the shelf at B&Q?
It’s easy.
You just need to keep things simple and do the right jobs at the right time.
So with that said, I’ve created this website to show you how to create and care for the kind of lawn that’ll make your neighbours greener than your grass with envy.
I’ll explain things in plain English and as simply as possible so you can follow along, step-by-step.

I like to be honest and upfront so there’s a couple of things I’d like to tell you…

I’m a lawn guy, not a writer.
I’ve written all of the content on this website as if I’m talking to you like you were in front of me.
I might crack a joke or tell a story. And as you’ve probably already noticed, I swear sometimes.
This is who I am.
If you’re offended by bad language…

You may or may not like me or my style of writing. You might think I’m a bit of a tit.
And that’s OK, my own mother has called me worse things!
But I can help you create a pretty awesome lawn if you’re willing to use the information I’m freely giving to you.
